| How long has AccuStat been in business?
AccuStat has been in business since 2001.
Where is AccuStat located?
AccuStat is located just outside of San Antonio, Texas. We specialize in
physician (M.D. and D.O.) billing for Texas-based providers.
Which payers can AccuStat process claims for?
AccuStat process claims in all 50 states for claims that are third party payers including Government (Medicare, Medicaid, Champus, Tricare), private insurance, HMOs and PPOs. There are over 3000 payer
organizations nationwide that are connected to AccuStat via our dual clearinghouse operations. We handle all insurance and workers comp. payers.
Tell me more about this low claim rejection rate.
AccuStat triple checks each claim. First the claim is visually checked for obvious errors and omissions. Next, the claim is entered into our software locally. The software checks coding and medical necessity matching of CPT and ICD-9 codes. Finally, the claim is transmitted to our clearinghouse which conducts a third check of completeness and coding correctness. If the claim passes the triple check, it is then transmitted to the payer. For claims that are sent on to payers, the claim rejection rate averages less than 5%. The 95% of the claims that are accepted are paid to you in 10-14 days from submission. Any claims that are rejected, are promptly corrected and resubmitted. The most common rejection reason for AccuStat claims is incorrect patient insurance information.
Are there any types of claims that AccuStat does not process?
Yes. AccuStat does not process dental claims.
Is AccuStat just a claims processing company?
No. AccuStat is a practice management consulting company. Our goal is to make your practice worthwhile to the owners. tions. EMR is only available to clients who choose AccuStat for their billing

I am an emergency room physician. How will I send lab results and imaging data to the insurance companies?
Normally, when AccuStat sends claims, the claim data is all that is required. If a payer requests further documentation, AccuStat will contact your office for the requested documentation and handle all communications with the payer. Naturally, EMR clients will have all the necessary documentation within the EMR system and no action will be required of the client.
